Head Trainer: Cathie Fergus-Watson

Cathie is the resident head trainer of the Four Rivers Sport Horse Center, LLC. Cathie has over 30 years of professional experience in teaching, training, and competing in dressage and jumping.

Cathie is USDF medalist and a participant in the USDF L program. She competed with her beloved Farley, an off the track Thoroughbred, through Prix St. George level. With Farley, Cathie earned her bronze medal and 3 of the 4 scores needed for her silver medal. Sadly, Farley had to be retired from competition before completing the final requirement. She won the 2004 President's Cup from the Kentucky Dressage Association aboard Ace's Wild FTF, a Haflinger trained by her.

Cathie has students of all ages from beginners to FEl. Her students include Bronze Medalists, a Pony Club HA and many with division championships.

Most recently, Wilco B.L., the facility's Friesian Stallion, completed his requirements for the Sports Predicate Designation which is added to his name.

Cathie is also an accomplished artist and has completed many commissioned pieces. Her artwork has been featured at several galleries.

Cathie has a gifted connection with animals and is a very effective communicator with her students.
